Sumaya Siddiqui earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing and a certificate in Social Entrepreneurship from the University of Houston.
As a Muslim American, Sumaya is passionate about minority empowerment. She has worked for Kanarys Inc., a Black female-founded company that advocates for workplace equality, and the League of Women Voters of Houston. She has also served in communications roles for Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and Texas State Representative Ana-Maria Ramos. She currently serves as the Digital Coordinator for the Texas Civil Rights Project.

As an entrepreneur and artist at heart, Sumaya started BriteCrown, an art product business catered towards young and aspiring artists. She then founded SumPop Studio, her creative studio.
Going forward, Sumaya hopes to continue utilizing her creative skills for meaningful roles and projects that leave a lasting impact.
